Speaking of getting cozy, why not get cozy with my Cardamom Hot Chocolate Recipe?
Come on! You must admit, nothing says "Let's get cozy" than a nice cup of hot chocolate. Just look at that cup!
Velvety smooth hot chocolate spiced with cinnamon and cardamom topped the pillowy marshmallows and shaved chocolate. Were you convinced yet? Let's make some!
Let's make some hot chocolate!
This recipe is super easy and takes only 10 minutes of effort.
What will you need:
- Milk, dairy or plant-based
- Dark Chocolate, 70-80%
- Cinnamon Sticks
- Cardamom Pods
- Cocoa Powder
- Vanilla
- Salt
- Maple Syrup to taste
I topped mine with Vegan Marshmallows and Shaved Dark Chocolate.

Easy Cardamom Hot Chocolate
Chilly days and cold hands call for a cup of this Hot Chocolate! The bitter-sweetness of the chocolate with the hint of cinnamon and cardamom spice, just makes this such a cozy treat.

Equipment
- Small Sauce Pan
Ingredients
- 4 cups Milk Any Milk you prefer
- 4 3" Cinnamon Sticks
- 4 Cardamom Pods Whole
- 200 grams Dark Chocolate high-quality, chopped
- 2 tablespoon Cocoa Powder
- Splash Vanilla Extract
- Pinch of Salt
- 2 tablespoon Maple Syrup
Instructions
- Heat your milk in a pot on low for 2-3 minutes.4 cups Milk
- Add cinnamon sticks and cardamom pods to the pot. Allow simmering with the milk for 3-5 minutes.4 Cardamom Pods, 4 3" Cinnamon Sticks
- Add chopped chocolate to the heated milk and whisk until combined.200 grams Dark Chocolate
- Sift in Cocoa Power and whisk to combine.2 tablespoon Cocoa Powder
- With a slotted spoon, remove cinnamon sticks and cardamon pods
- Whisk in a pinch of salt, vanilla extract and maple syrup.Splash Vanilla Extract, Pinch of Salt, 2 tablespoon Maple Syrup
- Serve warm and top with marshmallows and shaved dark chocolate.
